How can your major make the world a better place?

 Hi everyone!💫 at first place, im studing social work, It is a major where we are taught political science, statistics, subjects about social justice, gender, ethnic groups and public administration, all together help us to create changes and public politics to make Chile a better place for everyone. Obviusly, social work is studied around the world and it fits to different need to every country or location,in matters of living place, family, work, health and others, so, my carrer affect the world contributing mananging between the state and the people, or institutions (bussines) and their workers, making sure that the rights, benefits and status of workers are optimal not only for their permanence at work, but also for their dignity as persons, its the same in comunities, family houses or every place in the world.

I see myself being a social worker but working close to children, knowing the differents realities of every child and helping each of these children have a safe home, are not victims of violence and their rights are fulfilled, but also creating very good public politics for the future and the families willing to have children, adopt or foster.

That´s why my major contributes to the world´s benefits, because without Social workers a bridge would not be created between the general organization and the people and their individual reality, there would be no one in charge of doing a cadastre regarding the situation of families or vilnerable people, there would be no awareness of what it means to be of each class social, or what each one needs, I mean, there would be a lack of class consciousness and the person who would be in charge of guiding people to their own autonomy. That´s why Social workers are very important to the world!
